Zinc Jazz Club is thrilled to announce a month-long celebration of Venezuelan Jazz Piano in honor of Venezuela’s Indigenous Resistance Day, produced by Charles Carlini of Charles Carlini Presents. The series will feature an incredible lineup of world-renowned pianists, showcasing the rich musical heritage of Venezuela and its contribution to the global jazz scene.

Taking place every Tuesday throughout the month of October, this unique series promises to transport audiences to the vibrant streets of Venezuela, blending traditional rhythms with the improvisational spirit of jazz. Each performance will be a remarkable fusion of cultures and musical traditions.

The pianists headlining this extraordinary series are as follows:

  • Gabriel Chakarji – October 3, 2023: Gabriel Chakarji is a Grammy-winning pianist, composer, and bandleader known for his innovative approach to jazz. His performance promises to be a masterclass in musical creativity and expression.
  • Silvano Monasterios – October 10, 2023: Silvano Monasterios is a seasoned pianist whose music is a testament to his deep connection to Venezuelan and Latin American musical roots. His performance will captivate and inspire.
  • Cesar Orozco – October 17, 2023: Cesar Orozco is a multi-talented pianist and composer with a passion for fusing jazz with diverse world influences. His performance will take audiences on a journey of sonic exploration.
  • Luis Perdomo – October 31, 2023: Luis Perdomo is a renowned pianist known for his virtuosity and innovation in jazz. His performance on this special Halloween evening will be a musical treat for all.
