Every Friday beginning at 7 AM until midnight ET we'll begin each hour with a classic piece of Jazz Fusion history with our special feature we call IF IT'S FRIDAY, THIS MUST BE FUSION. This Friday, June 4th, we'll celebrate a return to the fusion era for one of its pioneers, Jeff Lorber, with a special feature we call “THE JEFF LORBER FUSION'S GREATEST HITS!" As we debut the new Jeff Lorber Fusion album “Now Is The Time," this week, featuring Eric Marienthal, Randy Brecker & Jimmy Haslip joining Mr. Lorber, we'll look back 30 years ago. In the last decade of the fusion era from 1977 to 1981 on albums like “The Jeff Lorber Fusion," “Soft Space," “Water Sign," “Wizard Island," and “Galaxian," Jeff Lorber and his band from Portland, OR, helped define the lighter side of fusion, West Coast style. They were joined by special guests like Chick Corea, Joe Farrell and Freddie Hubbard and created up, fun and funky fusion! You'll hear it all if you join us for this week's edition of IF IT'S FRIDAY, THIS MUST BE FUSION. It's “THE JEFF LORBER FUSION'S GREATEST HITS!"

We're gonna put you on the pass list as we present our weekly feature WORDS & MUSIC on MOJA Radio this one titled “BACKSTAGE WITH RUSS DAVIS!" 2010 has been a very busy year for our intrepid reporter as he's found himself sticking his nose in other people's business and sharing it with you whenever he can. This Saturday, as we celebrate the return of The Jeff Lorber Fusion, we'll go backstage to the downtown New York City club SOB's to talk to Jeff, as well as Randy Brecker and Eric Marienthal who collaborated with Mr. Lorber to help him return to his fusion heyday with the new release “Now Is The Time." Then we'll cruise over to the famous Greenwich Village hot spot, The Blue Note, to talk to Chick Corea, John Scofield and Eddie Gomez as they gathered there recently to celebrate the great pianist Bill Evans and basically just jam. Interview segments followed by music will begin each hour from Noon through Midnight Eastern time (9 AM-9 PM Pacific). Join us and go “BACKSTAGE WITH RUSS DAVIS," on this week's WORDS & MUSIC.

Twice every Sunday listen for three of our most popular special features on what we call THE SUNDAY SPECIALS here on MOJA Radio. At 9 AM & 9 PM Eastern time you'll hear an hour of fun and funky stuff on JAMMIN' JAZZ...JAZZ FOR THE NEW GENERATION WITH MICHELLE SAMMARTINO followed at 10 AM and 10 PM Eastern time by our weekly look at the hottest new MOJA coming out on THE ALL NEW MUSIC REVUE. Then we'll wrap it all up at 11 AM and 11 PM Eastern time with an hour inside the world's only imaginary jazz club for rare, live performances on LIVE @ MOJALAND.
