Camden, NJ--January 31, 2008--Four-time Grammy award winning pianist and jazz legend, McCOY TYNER and his trio will partner with Tony-winning tap master SAVION GLOVER on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 8 pm at Rutgers-Camden Walter K. A legendary member of John Coltrane's classic quartet, McCoy Tyner's blues-based piano style has become one of the most identifiable sounds in improvised music. And from his Broadway debut in The Tap Dance Kid at the age of 12 to his Tony-winning choreography for Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk, Savion Glover has established himself as the undisputed king of tap!



This event was selected by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts as part of the American Masterpieces Series in New Jersey. American Masterpieces



Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts is South New Jersey's premier performing arts, visual arts and arts education institution and has been designated a “Major Arts Organization of New Jersey" by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State.
