Creatures With Striking Features is a radical improvised music trio, traversing musical landscapes ranging from the avant-garde to the sublime. The group creates music that is a melange of free jazz, rock, and ambient. Often described as Paul Motian meets KC and the Sunshine Band, Ornette Coleman meets Japanese shred metal, and Paul Bley meets a dying water buffalo, one should be prepared for anything. With no musical roadmap, Creatures invites the listener to participate in a musical journey with an open mind and a strong desire to explore the possibilities of pure sonic experimentation and musical connection.

“Landon Knoblock is an honest musician... He performed on the piano with ranging confidence, and everything was fair game -- note clusters, sonic bursts, silence, internal plucking... a challenging set that pushed his young audience, rather than pandered to them." John Matouk, About.com

“The music veered from introspective and sweet to incendiary and at times edgy..." Brad Walseth, jazzchicago.net
