The fab new quartet lineup of Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey continues apace with a new spring tour and an invitation to fans to get freaky with one of their tracks.
Brian Haas (keys), Josh Raymer (drums), Chris Combs (lap steel, guitar) and Matt Hayes (double bass) wrap up the current tour this weekend in Dallas (3/27) and Austin (3/28), and then kick things off again in Chicago on April 4. Clearly the excitement JamBase witnessed at their recent Yoshi's show (see review here) is only building.
JFJO has also posted the eight 'stem' tracks that make up their track “Tetherball Triumph" so you can get started on creating your own “Tetherball Triumph" remix! Pop over here, enter your email below and they'll send you the 'stems' so you can get started. Then, get creative and do your thing, chop it up, add some effects, a new beat, whatever you want. When you're done email your creation in mp3 format to [email protected]. JFJO will upload all remixes to a player on their site for all to hear. You have until May 1 to submit your mix. JFJO will then vote on their favorite remix. The winning mix will be featured on their official site, MySpace, Facebook, etc. The creator of the winning mix will receive two copies of the Lil Tae Rides Again vinyl, a copy of the Lil Tae Rides Again CD, a new JFJO t-shirt, tickets to the next JFJO show in their city and more!
