Our current spotlight artist Tumbao Bravo brings a strong group aesthetic to their original Latin Jazz. Each member has a strong performance background, drawing upon their experience in a variety of ensembles. The group members have performed throughout a wide variety of musical genres including salsa, straight ahead jazz, pop, blues, funk, and more. The Detroit music scene owes a debt to the individual contributions of these musicians, and when they combine as Tumbao Bravo, they create a musically engaging and aesthetically likeable presence.
