Warfield's kind of music is a mixture of adventurous modernistic pieces, jazz tinged salsa, and post-bop hipness ... as an arranger, trumpeter Warfield is a top-rate craftsman, perhaps one of the best on the scene.

The Hell’s Kitchen Funk Orchestra is a group of well-seasoned jazz and studio musicians based out of New York City, who aim to produce a brand of music that defies boundaries. The HKFO accomplishes just that on the new Planet Arts Network release Smile. This remarkable band will be swinging into Keystone Korner Baltimore on Sunday, November 21st with two sets LIVE & ONLINE at 5 & 7:30pm!

A dynamic and innovative composer, bandleader and trumpeter, Bill Warfield has energized audiences, performers and writers for more than four decades. Warfield’s most recent accomplishments are Mercy Mercy Mercy, recorded on the BluJazz label by the Hell’s Kitchen Funk Orchestra in 2015, and Trumpet Story with Randy Brecker on Planet Arts Records, recorded in 2014. These recordings are a celebration of the composer’s formative musical experiences. The two groups perform Jazz selections based on the genres of funk, Latin jazz, and hard bop, all arranged by Warfield.
