Angling towards a mainstream world music audience, while enthusiastically embracing Jewish cultural forms, the founders have put two years of work into the festival. They've added workshops, film, theater, and dance to round out a music-heavy program, connecting a multicultural audience with a diverse set of performers. Some of this year's featured musicians include 14-piece Jewish/Romani supergroup The Other Europeans, pan-Mediterranean funksters Balkan Beat Box, and underground Cantorial meets indie rock with The Sway Machinery.
