MY COMMITMENT

My commitment to a shadow
Still active, in tune
Sensing all those feelings
Like landing on the moon
Each contact an explosion
Washing thru my dreams.

Thus I'll always remember
Love's a universal theme
Made note of thru music
Invading my brain
Filling in the vacuum
When I lost you in the rain.

SUBMIT

Our love caught in the cosmic shear
Remains active energy year after year
Vibrating thru all the tunes I hear
Listening to the music of jazz seers.

The expression of love as a work of art
Flows thru the ears to fill the heart
Feeling rich, open to an accurate dart
Connecting us, after decades apart.

Kept active thru mellow tunes
Filling the room with your image:
My fantasy taking form thru the horn
The blending of souls a privilege.

And the day you admit it's correct
The joy that we share will emit
Thru space and time for eternity
The beauty when as two we submit
To the blending as one
The energy of the sun.

A SURFACE GLANCE

A hundred poems, pouring outlets
Scratching at the memories
Calling thru those tunes.
Our love I still cherish.
Sparkling insight, my idol
Playing instruments as the doorway
To the galaxies: love blooms
Each time I remember
Watching you play tunes.

Passion so precise, yet flowing
Mellow joy enriching
Every contact we make, priceless
Moments when allowed to show
A surface glance at love's energy
Sneaking back with every tune.
