Yver Sorród

Yver Sorród is a bilingual Performer (Fluent in Spanish and English and with a basic level of French, Italian and Portuguese) with a Degree in Theater from the UCV (Central University of Venezuela), originally from Venezuela, born into a family of artists, who debuted in the Show Business at the early age of 8 and with more than 30 years of experience, more than a half of them in Mexico, where he resided from October of 2000 to March 2019 and currently based in Albany, Louisiana (New Orleans area) established as a permanent resident of the United States of America. He has worked in a countless number of Theater plays, Music shows, Contemporary Dance shows and a bit in the Film and TV Industry.

In Music: He was the Alternative Rock & Blues Band "Sursum Cordas" vocalist at his early beginnings back in Venezuela. In Mexico, he’s worked as a Singer, Dancer and Animator for music organizations "High Society" and "Música Nueva" (New Music) performing different genres. And from 2008 to the present, has been fully involved into the world of Jazz, having to his credit six shows of his own authorship, "Back in Business", "Ballroom Dreams", "Jazzy Holidays", "On the Road", "My Jazzy Valentine", and "Indigo/Intimo", besides counting with special participations in several public and private shows with bands such as Papillon, Peter Gunn's Jazz Band, Misha Jazz & Big Band, Música Nueva Big Band, and Ensamble Sax & Jazz Big Band. You can also find his first single, version of the classic "Georgia On My Mind" on several digital platforms such as Spotify, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Google Music and more.
