William Meek

Attended Wilmington College, Philadelphia Music Academy and Temple University majoring in composition and orchestration with a minor in piano. I've performed and recorded with 'Philly' Joe Jones and toured with Grover Washington Jr as his first keyboardist. I've also performed with Max Roach, Donald Byrd, Rufus Harley, Archie Shepp, Stanley Clarke, Odean Pope and I've performed and recorded with renowned bassist Tyrone Brown. I've also worked with numerous local Jazz and R&B musicians. I taught Jazz piano at Settlement Music School for 17 years and was the in-house pianist at the Union League of Philadelphia for 13 years. I've also played solo and with groups at too many hotels to remember. Currently semi-retired and working on several musical projects.
