William Armstrong

Originally from the suburbs of Washington D.C., Will has been involved with music for a long time. He got his start at several prestigious private studios and has since held concerts ranging from solo classical performances to headlining at local clubs with his quartet. Ever since moving to New York City in the fall of 2019 to pursue his masters in music he has been active in the music scene, performing at well known spots like The Bitter End (Greenwich Village). During his tenure at the University he studied with Michael Wolff (2019) and Alan Broadbent (2021), two very prominent NYC musicians on the scene in their own right. With education being a large and important part of learning and sharing his expertise in music, Will has taught approximately forty undergraduates as an adjunct instructor. All this, while maintaining a busy schedule as a graduate student and performer. He has also performed in NYU’s yearly pop-up jazz festival at the Provincetown Playhouse (Greenwich Village) and the famed outdoor Grad Alley event (2022). Recently celebrating commencement at Radio City Music Hall, he believes that the journey to expression starts with discipline and branches out through the imagination and uniqueness of each individual student.
