Vinyl Jam

Vinyl Jam is a band from Helsinki that plays their own music, which sounds very much like 70’s club music such as jazz rock, soul and funk. The music is composed by Andre Solomko, saxophone player and band leader. The music is very varying, from light and esoteric with emotional melodies to hard groove and straight funk.

Vinyl Jam's musical philosophy is based on traditional analogue music making, covering everything from vintage electric instruments to recording, mixing and mastering. Due to the genuine analogue sound on their records, which are only released on vinyls, the records are frequently mistaken for being re-releases of an old band from the seventies. Hence Vinyl Jam's slogan "like old glorious times".

Complimented with fragile and sweet voice of vocalist Antonia Dahlstrm, there are complex sound textures, exploring all nuances of vintage keyboards and effects.
