The Very Hot Club
Specializing in original compositions reflecting the legendary jazz genre that Gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt and violinist Stephane Grapelli launched in Paris in the 1930's, The very Hot Club creates an irresistible blend of nostalgia and cutting edge modernity that is a pleasure to hear. In 2004, The very Hot Club founder, George Cole, decided that rather than imitating or reproducing the music of Reinhardt and Grapelli, it would be an enjoyable musical challenge to renew the original concept; to create new songs in a style that captures the spirit of a time when popular taste and art coincided while elevating it to new heights.
Their latest release, "Samois Faire" has met with worldwide critical acclaim and The Very Hot Club is currently in preproduction for their sophomore album.
