Robert Landham
Graduating from the University of The District of Columbia with a bachelor's degree in music performance, Mr. Landham went on to study harmony with famed John Coltrane mentor, Dennis Sandoli. Robert has played in a variety of musical settings, performing and/or recording with: Barry Harris, Nat Adderly, Gladys Knight, The Dells, Grover Washington Jr., Wallace Roney, Christian McBride, Stanley Turrentine, The Temptations, Dionne Warwick, Teddy Pendergrass, Joey DeFrancesco, Stanley Clarke, Emeril Live, and many more.
Robert currently performs world-wide with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, which recently returned from a tour of mainland China and Taiwan. As an educator, Mr. Landham has taught at the Settlement Music School for 10 years as director of the Rohm and Haas Jazz Ensemble and also giving instruction in saxophone and clarinet.
In addition, he has taught music in both public and private school settings in the cities of New York and Philadelphia and continues to devote his time to teaching youth through summer music programs and private lessons.
