Riccardo Bertuzzi

Italian guitarist, composer and arranger, active as a Fusion artist as well as a session man.

He studied at the renowned Siena Jazz Academy with some of the finest musician in the international scene (such as John Abercrombie, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Jeff Ballard, Billy Hart and many others) winning two consecutive scholarships.

He also got deep into the Pop language at the CPM in Milan (biggest Pop-Rock academy in Italy), where he graduated in one year.

These two musical souls continued to coexist throughout his career.

He toured many countries with italian star Rita Pavone, and had the honor to work with Adriano Celentano, Ornella Vanoni and many italian and international artists:

Blue, Sananda Maitreya (aka Terence Trent D'arby), Yelena Eckemoff, Sarah Jane Morris, Trilok Gurtu, Tony Momrelle (Incognito), Durga McBroom (Pink Floyd), Antonella Ruggiero, Paolo Fresu, Elisa, Paolo Belli, Enrico Ruggeri, Fausto Leali, Ron and many others.

His proficiency in many musical styles brought him during the years to work in some of the biggest italian TV shows, both in band and in orchestra context.

He played on National shows with:

Anastacia, Marcus Miller, Simon Le Bon, John Miles, Tony Hadley, David Garrett, as well as famous italian artists such as Eros Ramazzotti, Riccardo Cocciante, Massimo Ranieri, Franco Battiato, Gianni Morandi, Edoardo Bennato and many others.

With Malafede Trio project (Federico Malaman on Bass and Ricky Quagliato on drums) he played on Festivals throughout Europe: Ireland, France, Greece, Hungary.

Alongside with live activity, he's an in-demand studio player (also including Movie and TV soundtracks) and a teacher with an ever-growing following.
