Randy Janoski

Randy Janoski (an Antigua Winds Saxophone Artist) began playing saxophone around the age of 10 in France. By 12 he was sitting in with the expatriate American jazz artists in Orleans and Paris. As a teenager Randy played with several bands early in his career including The Lancers, Ballin’ Jack, The Majestics, The Heard, Northwest Passage and The Flock. He did session work with the major R&B artists with Stax in Memphis and then moved with others to Muscle Shoals. As a studio musician with Columbia (Nashville) he recorded with and was sent out on the road with many great artists; Perry Como, Brenda Lee, Tony Bennett, Julie London, Elvis Presley, Kitty Wells, Johnny Mathis, Mel Torm and many others. While in the military Randy played with the U.S. Army Band Europe and the Bicentennial Jazz Band during that time Randy was mentored by Dexter Gordon when Dexter was living in Valby (Danhave Copenhagen). Randy has also played solo and performed with a wide variety of artists and groups playing for or sharing the stage with The Swing Kings, Ella Fitzgerald, Herbie Phillips' Las Vegas Hilton Band, Sassy, The Kentucky Troubadours, The Three Degrees, Neil Diamond, Dottie West & Kenny Rogers, Cilla Black, Hank Williams Jr., The KC Jazz Masters and others.
