Peter Furlan
A New York native currently living in Congers, N.Y., Furlan studied with Jackie McLean and Paul Jeffrey at Hartt Conservatory of Music and Rutgers University. In the 1990s, he studied composition with Jim McNeely and received master degrees in jazz composition and jazz performance from New York University..
He is the founder, artistic director and conductor of the Rockland Youth Jazz Ensemble, an adjunct jazz professor at Bergen Community College, Bergen Catholic’s Jazz Ensemble director, vice-president of the Rockland County Jazz and Blues Society and winner of the Arts Council of Rockland Performing Artist award.
