Nout
Nout have been performing together since 2020, took part in the Jazz Migration development programme #7 by the Association Jazzé Croisé and subsequently toured in France and Europe, gathering enthusiastic reviews and great appreciation from the public.
Flute, harp, drums: a rare combination that this trio turns upside down. In the wake of John Zorn's experiences on the borders of jazz and noise, the collaboration between Delphine Joussein, Rafaëlle Rinaudo and Blanche Lafuente aims at pushing their instruments beyond their limits, with the enthusiasm of a mad scientist.
Nout consists of Delphine Joussein - flute, voice, drums; Rafaelle Rinaudo - electric harp, drums; Blanche Lafuente - drums.

Nout: Live Album
by Ian Patterson
Buckle up. Proceed with caution. As debut albums go, French trio Nout's reasonably titled Live Album is a riot of musicianship, foundation-shaking noise and fearless originality. The music purveyed by Delphine Joussein (flute), Blanche Lafuente (drums} and Rafaëlle Rinaudo (electric harp) is invariably referred to in press releases as the missing link between Sun Ra and Nirvana, but perhaps Rahsaan Roland Kirk and The Chemical Brothers would offer better signposts. Suffice it to say, Nout tramples all over established genres ...

Six Degrees Announces Brownout Album & Us Tour

If ever a band could boast having a complex genealogical tree, that band is Brownout. The eight-piece, Latin funk ensemble based in Austin, Texas, is both offspring and germinating seed to Grammy-nominated Grupo Fantasma. The latter in turn traces its roots to when Austin based Blue Noise Band and The Blimp, from booming border town of Laredo, Texas, converged in its conception.
Brownout may well be Grupo Fantasma's psychedelic Latin funk little brother, an offshoot of the collective that regularly ...
