Natsuki Sugiyama

Natsuki Sugiyama is a saxophone and woodwind player from Tokyo, Japan working in the United States and Japan.

After graduating from high school, Natsuki attended the Berklee College of Music on scholarship. Since then, she has had the opportunity to perform at many prestigious events and venues in the US and Japan. Natsuki has been fortunate enough to study with George Garzone, Frank Tiberi, Hal Crook, Greg Hopkins, Darren Barrett and Dan Higgins.

As a recording artist, Natsuki is very in-demand for her versatility on a wide variety of instruments. Some of her session work includes the musical comedy Lucky Stiff, in which she was a featured soloist on alto sax, flute, and clarinet. Other film/TV work includes the shows The Twilight Zone, Shrink, and Baskets.

Aside from her work in the film and TV world, Natsuki has collaborated on numerous pop/studio recordings, such as Renaissance by Dresage, and Friendship 7 by Mark Hadley. She has also worked on several projects with the award-winning music software company Output.

As a live performer in the LA music scene, Natsuki plays at a number of venues around town. She has also been an orchestra member of several musicals, including The Boy from Oz (Celebration Theatre), Young Frankenstein (3D Theatricals) and Louisiana Purchase (Musical Theatre West).
