Born in the muddy waters of south Louisiana, the boys from Captain Green are cooking up a sonic gumbo good enough to slap yo’ mama. Get you a heaping spoonful of psych-drenched neofunk. It's the truth smothered in gravy.
Captain Green features Ross Hoppe (Keyboards), Robert Kilng (Bass), Darin Jones (Tenor and Baritone Sax), David Melancon (Trumpet and Flugelhorn), Grant Hudson (Guitar), and Michael Harris (Drums). They have been a part of music festivals such as Bear Creek Music Festival, Revolution Fest, Suwannee Disc Jam, Bay Fest, Secret Stages, and Radiopalooza and have graced the stage with acts such as George Porter Jr., Rebirth Brass Band, Bernie Worrell, Cope, Snarky Puppy, Particle, and Bill Summers.

—Scott, Tie Your Shoes Reviews

—Brett Hutchins, Out And About Pensacola
"..I started the day with Captain Green. This jazz-funk fusion band out of Baton Rouge got everybody fired up, shuffling off any lingering chill from the night before

Their latest CD, "Protect Each Other Together" is a trippy, tour de force that is definitely worth a listen." —John Wayne Phillips, Leeway's Homegrown Music Network
