Dev Avidon
Over the years, Dev has earned widespread critical acclaim and accolade for his creative work. Beginning his career at the age of 6 with the Metropolitan Opera, Dev has received over a decade of classical voice training, and has performed with numerous choral and chamber groups. He was recently recognized on Bobby McFerrin’s masterpiece album Vocabularies for his work on the Latin lyrics for the song Messages. Dev has won many awards for his creative writing and lyricism, including 13 regional and 4 national Scholastic Gold Key awards and was commissioned by Trinity School to write a choral piece for their Tricentennial Anniversary graduation. He has released multiple records, including his self-titled EP, featuring David Rozenblatt, Adam Ben-David, Matt Fieldes and Michael Aarons, and his first album, She Makes Noise (which can also be found here) with Oz Noy, Roy Assaf, Mike Visceglia and Benny Koonyevsky, and has performed on numerous jazz recordings for Zevisgirl Productions. Most recently, Dev has founded an audio technology firm, Frost Audio, for which he designs speakers, amplifiers and cables, including what famed producer Patrick Derivaz has called “the Grace Design of guitar cables.”
