Percussionist and Educator Larry Q. Draughn Jr. has been cultivating a rhythmic concept for over 30 years. My record of achievement includes a Bachelor's from NCA&T State University in Classical percussion and a Masters in Jazz Percussion from NCCU. Other notable achievements include being a part of:

Notable festival performances include the Notre Dame Jazz Festival, Ravinia Jazz Festival, Port Townsend Jazz Festival, Detroit Jazz Festival,
Newport Jazz Festival, Harmonica Jazz Festival, Fiji Jazz and Blues Festival. I've been blessed to record commercials for ESPN's "Free to Be" Black History month campaign. Other notable Recordings include:

I am also a pastor and have been on the mission field for the past 7 years with JMMI under the incredible leadership of David E. Taylor. Global ministry has caused me to broadcast on drums to millions around the world on Television and social media.
I currently teach Music at Brightwood Elementary and am the artistic director for the burgeoning North Carolina Jazz Continuum Project.
