Joshua Hyde

Joshua Hyde is a Melbourne Saxophonist currently studying at the Victorian College of the Arts. He was the 2004 winner of the Mars Young Performer of the Year & Weril National Student Awards. He has recieved Scholarships from the Ballarat Arts Foundation, Ballarat Ladies Art Association, and the Victorian College of the Arts. In 2005 he was asked to play in the VCE Top Arts program.

He performs regularly with the Joshua Hyde quartet, which is his outlet for original, jazz influenced improvisation. Joshua performs with the University of Melbourne Bigband, Orchestra Victoria, Victorian College of the Arts Chamber Orchestra, and the University of Melbourne Saxophone Quartet along with many recitals of works for saxophone with pianist Emilie Auger.
