The Horizons Jazz Orchestra (HJO) has 16 of South Florida’s best JAZZ musicians who play very challenging Jazz Orchestrations from modern-day composers. The Horizons Jazz Orchestra is directed by Musical Director, and trombonist Michael Balogh.
A Big Band that really gets you hopping, gives you that South Florida vibe—some swing, some out there—but always with that Stan Kenton feel that just gets you tapping in your seat. From Contemporary Big Band to traditional jazz standards, swing and blues, the group has played conventions, jazz dinners, weddings, parties, and anything FUN that you can think of!!!
The Horizons Jazz Orchestra can range from a sextet to a full 16-piece band.
