Credentials/Background

I've taught at Berklee College, The Collective NYC, College of St. Rose, Universita Della Music Rome among others. I've taught students of all ages and abilities in many styles of music. Many of my students have gone on to do well as musicians.

Clinic/Workshop Information

My solo clinics focus on the basics of bass playing, technique, rhythm, and stylistic basics. I try to show students what is required to be a good bassist, and how to use different aspects to build their signature style and ability. The clinics cover a broad topic area and are interesting to beginners as well as advanced players. My career has covered a broad musical spectrum which allows me to communicate well with different types of players, from different backgrounds and countries. I also do duo clinics with a drummer, stressing drum and bass interaction in different grooves along with ideas for improvisation and expanding vocabulary. For larger clinics I've used my trio or quartet that includes breakout sessions with each musician, as well as group performance. I've have years of experience teaching in many different settings and with students of very diverse backgrounds
