Izaäk Franciscus (Fred) de Jong , pronounced "The Young", was born on August 7th, 1963 in Strijen in the Netherlands and moved to Aruba in 1997.

You'll soon discover that Mr. de Jong understands and loves this material and has worked very hard to capture the phrasing and mannerisms of "old blue eyes." No small feat for any entertainer ... especially one who is European!

From the first note, you will know you have made a great decision to attend his show, and his voice and stage presence are amazing. At times he makes his way around the room and it is almost like he is singing just to you personally.

Even during the breaks between sets, if applicable, Fred doesn't rest his voice, but rather goes around the room chatting with the audience about the show and life in general.

“I'm a big fan of Sinatra, but too young to have had the chance to see him in the flesh, so I've been to a few tribute acts - Fred is one of the best I've seen. He has perfected Ol' Blue eyes look, mannerisms and inflections when performing but don't think for a minute it's a rigid portrayal of the character - it's so much more than that.

The lounge itself is an intimate setting, about a dozen tables, and Fred welcomed us individually, introducing himself and getting to know each of his guests a little before beginning the show. He worked through some classics, some less well known and threw in a few 'featured artist' numbers too each one performed in a way that made out feel like it was uniquely different this time to last week’s show. Fred goes out his way to ensure his guests enjoy the show, on our visit one of the other dinners had an accident and had to leave to attend the local hospital, her party returned towards the end of the show and Fred performed a set just for them (and us) after he was due to finish - and the extra set was just as polished as the first.

I could go on about Fred but by now I'm sure you get the picture; nice guy, great performer and a really enjoyable evening.”
