Who is Fred de Jong?

If you're in Aruba and are into Frank Sinatra and material broadly defined as the "American Songbook", you want to head to one of the Aruba Sinatra Shows and catch Fred de Jong singing and performing as "Mr. Sinatra" in the prime of his life. Music that will bring back memories and emotions that you forgot you had within you!

Izaäk Franciscus (Fred) de Jong , pronounced "The Young", was born on August 7th, 1963 in Strijen in the Netherlands and moved to Aruba in 1997.

You'll soon discover that Mr. de Jong understands and loves this material and has worked very hard to capture the phrasing and mannerisms of "old blue eyes." No small feat for any entertainer ... especially one who is European!

Mr. de Jong is backed only by recorded instrumentals of the tunes he sings. A typical show is fun, fast-paced, entertaining, and well worth the nominal cover charge.

If you are a fan of performers like Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé or Harry Connick Jr., you should definitely see on of Fred’s shows! Fred is a great showman who gives a lively performance of Sinatra's composed, orchestrated and arranged big band songs with wonderful romantic lyrics.

Theater and Dinner ShowsWhen Fred performs in a show room or theater you can choose any spot and enjoy a Las Vegas Style Sinatra Show and he might even enter the seating area sometimes to check on you.

Each Dinner show is set in an intimate setting that allows him to either stroll from table to table or stay in the back ground, depending on the type of group. If you are looking for a relaxing, romantic and delicious evening ... you can't go wrong with an Aruba Sinatra Dinner Show.

When Fred arrives to a venue, he starts setting up and approaches as many guests as possible to introduce himself and get to know a bit about each one. He is very personable and easy to talk to. After speaking briefly with everyone, the show commences and he begins entertaining with his first.

Fred takes the time to give you a little bit of background on each song, which is a nice extra. From the first note, you will know you have made a great decision to attend his show, and his voice and stage presence are amazing. At times he makes his way around the room and it is almost like he is singing just to you personally.
