Fernanda Cunha
Fernanda Cunha is a Brazilian jazz singer from Rio de Janeiro. She grew up with an affinity for both the music of her home country as well as jazz. She has toured Brazil, Europe, and North America, performing at prestigious international jazz festivals.
She has released 10 solo albums in Brazil with worldwide distribution.
Fernanda has been a regular performer in Canada from coast-to-coast-to-coast for many years.
Regular appearances at jazz festivals in Canada have helped to carve out a fan base for Cunha’s post-bossa groove, and in 2019 she moved to Ontario, Canada.
Fernanda performs regularly with Toronto jazz guitarist Reg Schwager . Schwager is one of Canada's most in demand players. He is a four-time winner of Canada's National Jazz Award for Guitarist of the Year and has just been named a member of the Order of Canada "For his indelible contributions to the Canadian jazz scene as a leading guitarist and composer."
Fernanda is celebrating 25 years of career performing with quartet, or in duo.
