Michael Carter, better known to his fans by his stage name T-Soak, is
a renowned Jazz saxophonist and keyboardist extraordinaire with a
funky, smooth and in-your-face feel. A known favorite for years
throughout the Pacific Northwest in the Gospel and Jazz circuits, he
got his start playing in church as a child, becoming the lead musician
by the time he was 14 and picking up bass, guitar and piano along the
way.
With an extensive touring background under his belt, T-Soak is well-
versed in playing the saxophone as the opening entertainer for artists
such as BeBe & CeCe Winans, Mighty Cloud of Joy, and Bobby Jones of
Bobby Jones Gospel fame. He was the first musician selected for the
Gospel Music Workshop of America’s Seattle Washington Chapter. He also
performs Gospel, Rock, Funk, and R&B. His musical influences include
Lenny Pickett, Grover Washington, David Sanborn, Gerald Albright and
Kirk Whalum.
T-Soak is currently working on music for an upcoming tour around the
Puget Sound area, during which he’ll be visiting coffeehouses,
wineries, and festivals and events. He has also endeavored to raise
money for Cancer Research through his performances, a cause which is
dear to his heart after lost two brothers,my wife Sister in-Law and
having a Farther in-law that currently battling the disease. Over the
next 10 years, 10% of the profits from his shows and projects will be
donated to the cause.
On a mission to strengthen communities through love and music while
raising money for cancer research, T-Soak’s genre-bending saxophone
skills make him a solid solo performer for wineries, coffee shops,
bars, concert series, and even at weddings and churches. Consider him
a contribution to your event as well as his cause!
