About Me

Danish guitarist and composer Soren Dahl Jeppesen (b.1980) has performed on the music scene for several years. SDJ is born and raised in Aarhus, Denmark, where he started playing guitar at age 13. He is now based in Copenhagen.

The debut album as a leader Route One was released January 20 2010 and features among others Oskar Gudjonsson (sax) and Jakob Bro (guitar). The 2nd album RED SKY is released July 1st 2011. Once again the Icelandic saxophonist Oskar Gudjonsson is featured. The Danish rhythm section consists of Klaus Nørgaard (b) and Jakob Høyer (dr).

“All compositions are written by Dahl Jeppesen himself and characterized by an overarching melancholy and quietly poetic expression. The music is mostly down in pace with plenty of space between the notes and space for the individual soloists to unfold.
