My Jazz Story

I was first exposed to jazz by my Father and Grandfather. When I started to learn the Trumpet, they turned me on to Clifford Brown and Dizzy Gillespie. I met [musician name]. The first jazz record I bought was "Clifford Brown with Strings" My advice to new listeners: "Jazz" is a gigantic musical tent! It has something for everyone. Don't lump all the music into one category. Much of it is truly "beyond category!"
