About Me

I hold a Ph.D. in Theory/Composition and am the author of several textbooks on Music Theory. As a composer and songwriter, I have been published by numerous companies, and recorded on Arista, Vanguard, CBS, BMG and many others. My new CD, “ Place I've Never Been,” is an all-original Latin-Jazz project recorded by my nine-member group. We are receiving good reviews and are being played on several stations including PJR Radio. Recipient of the Esteemed Faculty Award at N.Y.U.

The CD, “Closer Than Before,” is being aired on domestic and foreign radio. The CD, “A Place I've Never Been,” selected in Top 30 of 2016 in Klave Latina.

Pleased to announce that “Escrito No Vento,” from the latest CD, “Samba para a Vida,” won Best Brazilian Song of 2017, sponsored by The Sounds of Brazil Radio.

The new album, (1/2021) “Bossambal Brazil,” consisting of 14 original tracks receiving international airplay and major distribution through HD Music Now and soon through Sony/Universal.
