My Jazz Story

I love jazz because it hits me on an emotional and intellectual level. My first exposure to jazz: when I heard Lew Solof's trumpet solo on God Bless the Child from BST first album. This was followed by Deodato's first album on CTI which led me to the CTI stable and i was hooked from there. I met many musicians. The best show I ever attended was Pat Metheny's First Circle Tour. The first jazz record I bought was Deodato's Prelude. The CTI catalog flew into my hands from there! My advice to new listeners is to open your mind to the endless possibilities inherent in music.
