My Jazz Story

I was first exposed to jazz by my father when he would play Herb Alpert's "A Taste of Honey." My mother was also a big fan of Nancy Wilson and Julian "Cannonball " Adderley. One day while we were shopping in a Sears store, they were doing an album signing for jazz pianist, Ramsey Lewis. My mother insisted that I get his autograph, even though I had no idea at the time who he was. The moral of this story is always listen to your mother!
