Larry Davis Vernec is a jazz bassist from San Diego CA and Denver CO
About Me
Larry Davis Vernec, born and raised in Montreal, began his bass studies in 1982 with John Leftwich, in
Cardiff-by-the-Sea, near San Diego California. Leftwich has
toured with numerous great musicians including Carmen McRae,
Dizzy Gillespie, Rickie Lee Jones, Freddie Hubbard, Sergio Mendez,
and Lyle Lovett, and played in the movie “Let’s get Lost” with Chet
Baker.
Davis has played bass in a wide variety of jazz combos since the
mid 1980’s including Adam Wolff, Blue44, SpiderMurphy and others. Davis moved to Denver Colorado in
2018.
