Award Winning Percussionist and MDCPS Instructor, Joe Collado was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and of Puerto Rican parents. He has always tribute his musical style in his two recent sucessful Cd's to his life experiences and his musical upbringing. Originally a Motown lover and shortly afterwards witnessing and idolizing the Fania era musical groups and Superstar pioneers in Latin Rock such as Santana, Malo, Chicago and others gave him a heartfull desire to express all those influences as well as his own life experiences thru his early instrumental training and playing. Joe contributes his life changing sucesses when relocating to Miami, FL from the streets of Brooklyn, NYC in order to better himself professionally in his life goals of using his multi God given talents. Musically, joining forces with the fame underground Angel Canales Orchestra powered the path. Joe was also awarded Best Percussionist in Miami in 2009 just before releasing his first Cd “Solo Joe”.
