My Jazz Story

I love jazz because... It is expressive, fluid and creative. The sound of each musician's instrument is a unique voice I was first exposed to jazz... In college 1976 I met [musician name]...Crusaders are my favorite group. I met Joe Sample, Wayne Henderson & Wilton Felder backstage @the Blue Note NYC shorty before their deaths The best show I ever attended was...a triple bill @the Hammersmith Odeon/London in 1976 Billy Cobham/George Duke Band, John McLaughlin/Shakti, & Weather Report! The first jazz record I bought was...Crusaders "Unsung Heroes" My advice to new listeners...Have a "drink", get in the mood, put on ear buds and listen to Miles Davis Live at the Blackhawk (Friday or Saturday night)! Or whatever else you have in mind.
