My Jazz Story

Music is the universal language and the most abstract of the arts. You cannot touch it, taste it, smell it, or see it. You can only hear it. It captured my imagination, my heart, and my soul as a small boy. It has remained a faithful and loyal companion, through joy and despair, love and loss, happiness and sadness, pain and relief, triumph and defeat. It has never deserted me, never failed to warm my heart. And I am thankful for it. My personal brainchild, the New Vintage Big Band, is my way of sharing what music has meant in my life. You can read my description of it, but only hearing it will reveal its vast beauty.
