About Me

DON PRICE is a graduate of the Dick Grove School of Music. As former faculty member of the Guitar Activity Center, Don was added to the Guitar Teacher's Referral List for the University of Southern California in 1987. He also wrote for the magazine JAZZ IMPROV for 10 years.

Don first learned music from his mother, who was a professional musician playing in many group settings. During his youth played with various bands in various styles. He discovered the blues, country, rock, fusion, jazz, and eventually the music of Django Reinhardt and Gypsy Jazz. Over the years he has had the honor and privilege of knowing & learning from jazz masters Hank Garland, Pat Martino, Joe Pass, Joe Diorio, Don Mock, Frank Gambale, Larry Coryell, and Stochelo Rosenberg.
