About Me
My Jazz Story
I love jazz because of improvisation I was first exposed to jazz at a very early age, about 7, I heard a group of musicians playing jazz in a film and I was in awe. I met and played with George Melly when I was about fourteen years old. The best show I ever attended was John McLaughlin at the Royal Festival Hall in London. The first jazz record I bought was Max Roach, the jazz drummer, when I was about 11 years old. My advice to new listeners. It depends what sort of jazz you like, but listen to Miles Davis from the very beginning to the end.
