About the Album
This is the title track from the Paul Colombo Group new record "Rio Crystal". The record has eight original songs, seven by Paul and one by Ron Thomas, with various styles from Latin, to swing, to fusion, to blues, to ballads. This track, written by Paul, has some influences from the time Paul spent in Miami. All the various friends he had there and the music he heard- from Costa Rica, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and, obviously, the Cuban descendants - gave him a rich background for the nuances of Latin rhythms. This tunes has a special bridge section that brings to life the whole musical experience.
