The second single to be taken from Phil Dawson's forthcoming new album ‘Don’t Waste Your Ancestors’ Time’ (out November 29th), 'Shifting Sands (Mainline)' centres itself around a poem by spoken word artist Khadijatou, philosophising from her immediate surroundings over a backdrop of warped Ghanaian-style highlife guitar and ‘Filles de Kilimanjaro’-inspired Fender Rhodes, with flute commentary from the great Rowland Sutherland.
