Rob Reddy has led and composed for no less than ten of his own ensembles over the past decade. He has an insatiable desire to hear how different instruments and people resonate together. His work has been documented on four recordings-"Post-War Euphoria(1996) on Songlines, "Songs That You Can Trust"(1998) and "However Humble"(2000) on Koch Jazz, and "Seeing By The Light Of My Own Candle"(2001) on Knitting Factory. He is currently composing for Small Town, a 21-piece ensemble due to appear in Fall 2002, for his electro-acoustic ensemble Wake Snakes, and for the Honor System, his sextet which produced his first two recordings. Reddy cut his teeth performing as a saxophonist in the ensembles of Reggie Workman and Ronald Shannon Jackson.
