Kenwood Dennard has worked with some of the greatest names in jazz history - so great they can be identified by one name. More specifically, Jaco, Martino, Brand X, Maceo, Dizzy and Miles and Gil. In the pop world, he has also worked with no less than heavyweights Madonna and Sting. He has a website (www.justadvance.com) where he's offering online lessons, and is an associate professor at Berklee College of Music, Boston, where he serves as mentor to the next generation of funky drummers. His last solo disc, Just Advance features Marcus Miller, Delmar Brown, Hiram bullock, and Charles Blenzig. His latest live gigs find him playing drums with his right hand and keyboards with his left, all while he sings.
