Best known as a Flecktone Jeff Coffin has just released a brand new album "Go-Round",picking up where his last recording, the highly acclaimed 1999 release "Commonality" (2000 Nashville Music Award Winner for Jazz Album of the Year) left off. The title of Go-Round was derived from Jeff’s wish to, "… make a record that had that cyclical feel that I love in music." Jeff calls his band the Mu-tet, and for its most recent tour, the unit included a Pastorious in the bass chair, Felix.

Coffin's versatility knows few boundaries: his interests in Cuban music, Rhythm & Blues, African, Arabic, Eastern European, Indian and all styles of improvised jazz provide a rich palette for him to draw from as a composer and player. Known for playing two saxophones at once,he reaches deep into many musical traditions to explore his instrument.
