The English saxophonist/bass clarinetist Harrison Smith is perhaps better known in his home country than in the U.S.A., or to some extent in Europe. He is a diverse player who has performed in both the avant-garde, freer end of the music, as well as in the jazz mainstream. His recent quartet C.D. Outside Inside has been received with much acclaim internationally.
