Herbie Nichols: una discografia

Herbie Nichols ha avuto modo di incidere solo un numero limitato di composizioni. All About
Jazz Italia ha recensito i suoi lavori per la Blue Note e per la Bethelem.
Fortunatamente l'opera di Nichols è stata oggetto di una riscoperta negli ultimi anni e quindi comincia ad essere utile una
discografia che tenga conto dei sempre più numerosi omaggi alla figura del pianista newyorchese.
Questa discografia (e bibliografia) di base su Nichols, pertanto, si divide in varie sezioni per distinguere i lavori di Nichols, come leader
o come sideman, i dischi dedicati al suo genio, quelli contenenti suoi brani e quelli contenenti brani originali a lui dedicati.
