Liberation Prophecy: Invisible House
I Liberation Prophecy del sassofonista Jacob Duncan tornano a far parlare con un nuovo "oggetto musicale non identificato" a sette anni esatti dal primo, autoprodotto Last Exit Angel. Lo fanno nel migliore dei modi, confezionando un album intitolato Invisible House, dalla filigrana musicale ricchissima e complessa. Tante sono infatti le tracce che fanno di queste dieci canzoni un magnifico album meticcio. In questo senso le collaborazioni parlano chiaro (Will Oldham fa capolino su "Let's Not Pretend"), ma è l'ascolto di Invisible House a riservare sorprese a non finire.

Il collettivo di musicisti non perde mai di vista la forma canzone, e in questo senso la voce di Carly Johnson si ritaglia un ruolo di primo piano, dato non sempre scontato in gruppi jazz amanti del vagabondaggio fra generi. Americana, jazz cantato, folk dalle dorature agresti, per spingere poi verso una delicata e gioiosa anarchia musicale che lascia libero sfogo a una line-up nella quale la componente dei fiati rappresenta una marca tipica.

Liriche le linee della voce e di tutti gli altri strumenti: Invisible House si pone su di un piano mai completamente definibile, nel quale la band sembra suonare talvolta come una formazione rock, talaltra con le movenze di una piccola orchestra. Comunque la si voglia inquadrare, è un piacere perdersi fra i sentieri del verde bosco musicale evocato nelle grafiche di copertina.
