Painting helps me spend quality
time in my mind and refreshes my soul. I turn on the music that inspires,
and try to channel how it affects me, in an attempt to stimulate my eyes.
I pay homage to whom I feel are the true innovators of Jazz, and fill
my studio with faces that continually look at me and ask, "What have you
done today?" That's all the inspiration I need to get up off the couch
and paint.
