Fritz Hegi Trio: Flow Flow Impro-Visionen
Dinnanzi a un pubblico alquanto sparuto (ce lo dice il volume degli applausi), i tre musicisti svizzeri cuciono insieme il loro set, alimentato da un'improvvisazione inesausta quanto abilmente gestita. L'humus varia peraltro non poco da brano a brano, facendo leva ora su una struttura più sfrangiata, trovata all'impronta, ora compositivamente definita.

Già paradigmatica appare in tal senso la prima coppia di pezzi, il pacato (ma sul finire più denso, nervoso) "Introtrilogie" e il più tornito "New Place," secondo un'alternanza riproposta di fatto nel dittico che segue, entro cui si segnala, per le felici dinamiche, "Gfritzt." Nel successivo "Alpsegenblues," Dieter Ulrich, per il resto batterista, imbocca poi il flicorno a un pistone di emanazione militare, e subito dopo "Slowakischer Frühling" assume persino l'incedere un po' impettito della marcia.

Si procede così fino al termine, entro un corpus di brani di livello piuttosto omogeneo, da cui tuttavia estrarremmo almeno "Mom Ente," in cui spicca l'abbinamento piano/clarone, "Sound Is It," libero e nervoso quanto il precedente suonava più composto (in tutti i sensi), e il conclusivo "Breathless," subito più astratto, felicemente disarticolato, con la temperatura che lievita via via.

Un buon esempio di improvvisazione "sul campo," quindi, costantemente sorvegliata e che non dà mai l'impressione di prendere più di tanto la mano ai suoi officianti.
